The Gateway Greening Team Recognized by the St. Louis Cardinals

Recognizing five years of Urban Roots participation.

The St. Louis Cardinals, immediately prior to the September 16, 2009 game with the Marlins, recognized the Gateway Greening team for five years of Urban Roots participation associated with creating exceptional seasonal color landscape displays at Market and Tucker landscape medians and at Kiener Plaza. Urban Roots is a downtown St. Louis landscape enhancement initiative led by a variety of nonprofit organizations. In addition to the participation of Gateway Greening staff and board members, the Gateway Greening team includes active participation by the St. Louis Master Gardeners, Gateway Professional Horticulturist Association, Horstmann Brothers Landscape Services, Landscape and Nursery Association of Greater St. Louis, and St. Louis Community College at Meramec Horticulture.
